The villages of the Pe' d'Oca - Between Netro and Donato to discover the Elvo Valley
20
There is an ancient legend about the “Pè d'Oca,” the mysterious creatures who settled near the Roc delle Fate and knew the secret to finding gold, a secret they never revealed due to the excessive curiosity of the Netresi. The hike retraces the traces of the “Pè d'Oca” between Netro and Donato and will be an opportunity to visit two producers who are members of Slow Food Travel Biellese Mountains, Apicoltura Alessandro Castello with its organic honey and Azienda Agricola Rosso Baietto with its Toma Valle Elvo and Slow Food Presidium butter, and to discover the history of this valley, including the centuries-old tradition of ironworking and the spread of the trades that emigrants brought around the world.
