The route winds through the hills surrounding Lake Viverone. The route is characterized by a succession of woods and open countryside connected by wide paths and dirt roads. Departure from Zimone on Via Circonvallazione, which we will leave to take Via Viverone: we will keep left at the first fork and then turn right on the next one. We will continue on the dirt road until we get to Lake Bertignano where, keeping to the right, we will continue until we find a chapel, turn right again and walk along via Sordevolo; which we will leave to turn onto via al Monte until the next crossroads. We will then go straight on via Marchesi di Gattinara. At the traffic circle take the third exit onto provincial road (SP228) after 900 meters we will turn right onto via Morzano which we will keep until the end to turn left onto via S. Giovanni Bosco. At the next junction continue to our right and then turn onto Alice Castello street where we will turn left and drive 750 meters and then turn right again onto dirt road. After 1 km we will continue straight ignoring the next two crossroads and after another 1.3 km turn left first and then right. We will continue straight until we find the paved road where we will turn right onto Ivrea Street which we will leave after 1 km to turn right onto Toselli Street and then right again at the next junction. We will continue for 1.6 km and then turn left and then right at the next junction. We will travel 300 meters and then turn right and later left passing under the highway. Continue downhill until we find a wide unpaved road that, turning right and continuing without ever leaving it, will take us back to Alice Castello Street. Abandoning the latter to return to Via S.Giovanni Bosco, we will turn right at the fork and left at the next fork. We will continue straight on via Morzano until we find via Ivrea, where we will turn left to a traffic circle where we will take the first exit via Cavaglià,and then take via take via al Castello, which we will follow to its end to turn right onto via S.Vitale. After 1.7 km we will turn left to return to Bertignano Lake where, keeping to the right, we will follow it until we find a road going uphill. We will pass by a farmstead and continue on the path that we will keep and then turn right after 600 meters. We will finally continue straight until we find via Peverano, on which we will turn left and then again at the next intersection to take the path that will lead us to the “Roc della Regina.” Once we reach it we will continue straight ahead and then turn left then right and after 400 meters left again on a path that will become wider and wider until we reach the point from which we started.
