Oropa Way - Serra route - Stage 2/4 - From Roppolo to Sala Biellese

CDOS-02 The second stage runs through the hills of the Serra d' Ivrea, the largest moraine amphitheatre in Europe.

You come out of Roppolo along a beautiful path that after going through a clearing with three monumental chestnuts rises between vineyards and orchards towards the Viverone Ricetto, the ancient fortified borgo from which you enjoy a beautiful panorama on the morene amphitheatre of Ivrea and on the Lake of Viverone. It is continued into the landscaping of Zimone and therefore the Monastery of Bose, home to the community founded by Enzo Bianchi, is reached. Here if you arrive around midday you can witness the suggestive Mass.

It is continued between the meadows to the Romanesque church of San Second, then rises to the ancient Borgo of Magnano, with another beautiful Ricetto preserved, and from here along the paths hidden in the woods come to Torrazzo.

If you are staying in Biellese Sala you will have to continue the path ; arrive in front of the church of Torrazzo, bumps the road to Sala Biellese and soon after he steps off to the right on a paved road that continues on a path. It descends into a valet and stretches back from the opposite side, to the Sanctuary of the Most Holy Annunziata. Here you turn right onto the paved road to reach the Camworse Future is Nature, and more beyond the B&B The Raglio, otherwise you turn left to get to the reception facilities located in the center of the country.

In the hot season on this stage in the traits in the woods there can be many mosquitoes, so we recommend that you take with you a repellent.
