CDOC-05 Fifth stage of the Oropa Way - Canavese route

The path develops on the side of the Mombarone and descends on a steep mulattage to cross the Elvo River, before it dates back to the beautiful historical centre of Sordevolo. From here we face a rather challenging path in saliscents, between woodlands from which beautiful sights are enjoyed on the Padana Valley, all the way up to Favaro. From here you face the challenging D1 path, which rises to the final destination of the Way, the scenic Sanctuary of Oropa, chastised between the mountains in a small valley of the Biellese Alps.

Water in frequent fountains, bars and reboots in Sordevolo and in Favaro.

Variants: the crossroads for the Tramvia Variant (LINK) is clearly marked in the trait between Chiavolino and Favaro (km 9, 3).
