Cascina Cavanel is located along the “Oropa Trail,” 5 km from the Oropa Sanctuary, and offers a picnic and barbecue area to enjoy fresh produce from the garden and poultry. The farm, about one hectare at 750 m above sea level, includes a vegetable garden, fields for red potatoes and Jerusalem artichokes, a centuries-old chestnut grove, chicken coops and a sheep barn. It also has a relaxation area with tables, loungers, pergolas, a children's play area and a beach volleyball court, as well as a free rest area for pilgrims.
