Loop hike from Trappa di Sordevolo to Bagneri

19 Loop trail along the two sides of the Elvo stream, joining two places dense with history in the valley of the same name.

From the Trappa di Sordevolo, an iconic place in the Elvo Valley and now home to the Slow Food Travel Montagne Biellesi community and the Elvo and Serra Valley Ecomuseum, you descend, skirting the stream along a beautiful path through woods and pastures.

Crossing the river, you arrive shortly after at Bagneri, a historic hamlet that preserves ancient valley traditions. Here a stop is a must to admire the stream stone sculptures exhibited by artist Cecilia Martin Birsa, pause to browse among the perfectly preserved ancient stone huts and listen to the tolling of the bells. that still mark the days of the villagers.

We then return to the trappa, ascending from the left side of the stream along a beautiful scenic path.
