Oropa Way - Canavese route
CDOC An alternative path
The western branch of the Oropa Way links the territory of the Canavese, in the province of Turin, with the Biellese, crossing an area of great landscape, naturalistic and cultural interest.
Compared to the Oropa Way - Serra route, which connects Santhià to Oropa, the Oropa Way - Canavese route is longer (about 85 km in 5 stages against 61 km in 4 stages of the main itinerary) and more challenging, as well as for the length for the dislevels and the shortage of water supply points and food along the route.
It is an itinerary that we recommend to viandans with a minimum of walking experience in stages, and to those who have already walked the Santhià-Oropa itinerary and want to know a new piece of the Piemontese territory, equally beautiful and surprising.
