A taste of the Dora Valley
54 Along this bike route we will be able to discover the beauty of the landscape in a loop between farms, agritourisms and wineries between Santhià and Lake Viverone.
The area that stretches between Santhià, Cavaglia, Roppolo and Alice Castello is characterized by a unique microclimate and landscape, thanks to the presence on one side of Lake Viverone, a basin of glacial origin and the third largest lake in the Piedmont region, and on the other side of the morainic hills that form the backdrop to the plain.
This itinerary will take us to discover the agricultural realities that, thanks to their work integrated with the environment in which they are located, guard the landscape and cultural beauty of the area.We are in a border area between three provinces, as well as a border between different geological conformations. In this area, in fact, the Ivrea Morainic Amphitheater flows into the Po Valley, a condition that will allow us to ride mainly on the flat but also appreciate some short climbs and descents.
This route is suitable for everyone, but especially for those who are eager to discover the beautiful stories of the people who inhabit the area.
